The History of the Rocky Mountain Horse originated in  Eastern Kentucky during the late 1800's from a foundation stallion named Old Tobe.

Old Tobe  was bred by Sam Tuttle  to the Appalachian saddle mares of the region creating this strong genetic foundation line known today as the modern Rocky Mountain Horse.

Rocky Mountain horses are hearty trail riding horses that are known for their wonderful temperament and smooth as silk four-beat ambling gait.

The Rocky Mountain horse stands between 14.2 to 16 hands tall and is well known for it's "chocolate" color with flaxen mane and tail, however they come in many colors!
